6 Mile Tempo Run - I ran this east along the Highline Canal. 6 miles in 53:20 averaging 8:53/mile. I ran a little fast as I was aiming for 9:05 pace. HRave 134 HRmax 142
Total Time 1:03 and 7.0 miles
Wed. is a rest day
I highly recommend Tempo runs! Run UNDER CONTROL, not all out at a pace that you can sustain. At a pace where you can talk, but not carry on a conversation. Tempos are great for raising your lactic acid threshold. And they are confidence builders.

I love tempo runs too. I thought you are always telling me not to do them. Maybe you mean just don't do them all the time.-Hez
